Sound Relief & Friday the 13th

Irony, irony - after months (years!) of drought we get buckets of rain at the massive Sound Relief (Bushfire) Concert.

Potters Potion

A Friday 13th themed one.... Someone at work has gone on indefinite leave and left this drink on their desk. It's been there a month already and nothing has grown in it yet - bit of a worry. Watch this space.

Warm-up samples

11 March 2009
To be fair to everyone who will feature on this blog - you can't say I don't laugh at myself. First rainy day in Melbourne - forever like. Of course we've all stopped keeping an umbrella in our bags. Was I going to get my hair wet and fizzy after 30 minutes of drying and straightening?? Using the only 'suitable' thing I could find in my bag - I didn't give a toss what I looked like. I got to work without looking like a 'wild man from Borneo' (Mother's saying).

Red sun at sunrise - not remarkable you might say, but signifies the terrible bushfire season here in Victoria, Australia.

This is NOT a set-up. We came home and found this mail-out in our home's mailbox - as is!

"It's called style dear" he tells me. Hawaiian shirt tucked into long-johns - all the rage in ????

Early morning and the giant wheel is nearing completion. Was this where the fault is? Unfortunately, after only a couple of months the wheel is closed indefinitely.

Start

Hello - welcome to my experiment.

Ever wish you'd captured that funny thing you saw today?

I've waiting for suitable technology and the spare time (no more study for me!) to enable my desire to record amusing or quirky or just little things I want to. Result = focus on the serendipity and positive things in my daily life.

What I wished I'd been able to record previously:
  • Man cleaning his teeth in a city street
  • Smallest car with the biggest dog
  • Naked man at music festival (but then again perhaps not something one wants to remember)

So here I go - can my equipment (mobile and aging digital camera) capture the moment quick enough? We'll see.

Disclaimers: Yes some of the photo quality will not be the best but it's MY experiment! And yes some entries may be lame but if it amuses me - it's in.
